Most children start by walking while straddling their Boot Scoot.
When they become more comfortable, they will begin to sit on the
seat, push themselves forward, and maintain balance with both feet.
As they learn to balance on their own, they will begin to lift their
feet for short distances. Before long, they’ll be cruising along
and you’ll have to quicken your pace just to keep up. Some children
take a few days, others a few weeks to get the hang of it. No matter
how long it takes, your child will have fun learning to ride their
Boot Scoot.

Boot Scoots are designed for children ages 2 through 6.. A more
specific indication that your child is ready to start riding is their
inseam. The seat height of our smaller model, the Zoomer, adjusts
from approximately 14”-17” with a quick-release collar. Most children
are ready to ride either on or soon after their second birthday.
The Cruiser’s seat adjusts from 17”-20” and it weighs a little more,
making it perfect for slightly older children, typically ages 3-6.
If your child’s inseam is at least 14”, they are ready to ride! The
maximum recommended weight is 80 lbs. |
